I feel like the horn Sample repeats way too much. Get some variation in the mix man. Sample a hook, some Keys..... Just something to change it up, ya know? I liked how it almost changed up at 1:53, but then you just psyche us out! (love that sound at 1:58 that transitions back to the beat)

I understand this is a Sample Battle so I can see where you were coming from. The length of the beat just begs the listeners to stay tuned for the change-up, which sadly doesn't do much besides fuck with our heads.

I love the Sample work though. Great job on flipping it.

BOULLIE responds:

Maybe I shouldn't have put instrumental. The sample battle beats we do end up being used by emcees so the loop is necessary, cause I hate it when people just punch through the choruses -_-

I do need work on my arrangement tho, this is beyond true.

It'll get better, good looks on the honesty, I need more of that in my life lol

I like this a lot. It's got that Space Exploration vibe going on. I feel like this would work wonders in some sort of Futuristic Mockumentary.

As far as the overall track goes I can't vote a full on 5 & 10 due to the way it sounds unmastered. Some of the sounds clash with each other when everything get going about halfway through the track.

Nice work man. I can't wait for the Finished Product.

Blackmajiick responds:

EDIT: Fixed the clashing sounds

This is an awesome beat. I don't quite know what the lower register sounds like because I left my cans in my aunt's car last Saturday, but based on your previous tunes I can only guess that the bass compliments everything awesomely. :)

I love how some of the sax hits sound as if they came from a reggae track, but the overall vibe that the others give is more Jazzy in tone.

Grest use of hook vocals too. Sampled hooks are, in my opinion, much better than non-sampled ones.

BOULLIE responds:

Yeah they did! Bam BAM that classic Sister Nancy joint

Noice! The grittyness of the bass drum adds to the overall awesomeness of the track. I don't even care that it sounds as if it makes it clip. :D

This almost sounds like a FlyLo beat, if he were to release this back when Los Angeles came out.

Great work Bou!

BOULLIE responds:

Aw man I don't even hear the clip, I'll go back and remaster it soon, good call and thank uuuuuuu.

I gotta veer from this style when I'm done learning from it... It's addicting.

This is dope as fuck. That synth is so nasty. ^.^

Devastus responds:

Almost nastier than all the flatulence recorded. I'd call that an achievement.

Thanks for the feedback!

I love the overall sound of this. The vocals make it just that much better! :)

Also, I'm down to tribute the Champloo OST's. I've done it 3 times already, why not continue? ^.^

BOULLIE responds:

Alright cool! So me and you are on board..

I wonder if this would stand to become an actual thing If I showed enough persistence...

Hm...

Those rhodes are super dope. Great sampling throughout. The muted guitar and that clack during the hook fit so well. You've got that FlyLo vibe. Great work bro.

BOULLIE responds:

thank ye kindly

Dope shit man. :)

Would you mind PM'ing the sample info if you're willing?

Xorberax responds:

Thanks, which sample though?

The lines throughout were dope. I fucking love the subject matter. As far as the way the overall track sounds, Madwigged vocals could be a little better, but I understand how hard it is to record when you don't have the best equipment.

Also, the vocals drowned out the snare just a bit. Turn them down a decibel or 2 and I'll replace this with the instrumental version that I'll be releasing.

Props to KlazikNadi and Madwigged for using my beat. :)

Madwigged responds:

Oh thanks man! I had no idea where the instrumental came from... My apologies, i'll edit the description to give props where they are due. For the vocals, are you talking about mine? Of his? Or both?

Chill shit here Lejin. Very different compared to the early old school shit I last heard from you. Keep it up man.

Loving the dialogue samples. Dat British Accent...

Lejin responds:

I know, I always use real life personal experiences in my music. You Review means alot.
